Allergic rhinitis
Also known as hay fever. Allergic reactions to trees, pollens, animals, or other environmental factors can cause nasal symptoms.
- Nasal congestion, excess mucus

- Itchy or red eyes
Acute sinusitis
The sinuses are a series of cavities in the skull that are lined with mucus membranes. In acute sinusitis, these cavities become inflamed. The cause is typically due to an infection, usually the common cold.
- Facial pain, pressure, congestion or fullness
- Difficulty breathing through the nose
- Discharge of yellow or green mucus from the nose
Chronic sinusitis
In some cases, sinusitis symptoms continue for 12 or more weeks. This condition is known as chronic sinsusitis.
Like acute sinusitis but lasting for 12 or more weeks.

Lateral wall collapse
A type of nasal airway obstruction where the cartilage in the outer wall of the nasal passage is weak or overly flexible.
- Difficulty breathing through the nose
- Needing to use Breathe Right strips during sports
- Trouble sleeping
- Breathing changes since cosmetic nose surgery (nose job)
Septal deviation
The nasal septum is the cartilage that divides the left and right nostrils. Due to trauma or genetics, it can get pushed (deviated) toward one side of the nose, so there is less air volume on one side.

- Poor nighttime breathing; snoring
- Chronic sinus infections
- Nosebleeds
Polyps
Polyps of the nose are non-cancerous growths that form in the nose, commonly in the areas where the sinuses drain.

- Thick discolored mucous drainage
Turbinate hypertrophy (enlargement)
The turbinate is a small structure that cleans and moisturizes air as we breathe in. It can grow enlarged, obstructing breathing. This condition is often associated with septal deviation.

- Nosebleeds
Nasal valve collapse
The nasal valve is the narrowest part of the nasal airway. Nasal valve collapse refers to weakening or narrowing of this passage. This situation can cause discomfort and breathing difficulty.
- Significant nasal congestion, with a notable difficulty in breathing inward
- Sensation of obstruction of the nasal and/or sinus passages
